LDPR intends to hold picket near Dutch embassy on Oct 12
The Russian Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) will hold a picket near the Dutch embassy to protests against actions of Dutch police regarding a Russian diplomat on October 12.
"The LDPR picket near the Dutch embassy will take place on October 12," the party said in a press release on Thursday.
The protest rally will be conducted by LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, deputies of the LDPR faction in the State Duma and members and activists of the LDPR Moscow branch.
The reason for the rally is the incident with Minister Counselor of the Russian Embassy in the Netherlands Dmitry Borodin, which, according to the LDPR, is "an outrageous case."
"This is happening not for the first time. There was a case in Doha, the capital of Qatar, when our ambassador was beaten during the attempt to pick up diplomatic mail. An attack against our diplomat occurred again in this case. And no need to imagine - family quarrels, alcohol or something else. This is purely an act of provocation!" the LDPR press office quoted Zhirinovsky as saying.
