Former Georgian State Security Minister Valery Khaburdzania who has lived the past few years in Moscow told the press in Tbilisi on Sunday that he intends to set up his own political party the program of which will be aimed at normalizing relations with Russia.

"Nationalist, pro-American and even pro-Russian political parties are currently functioning in Georgia. I have said many times before that I advocate a course Georgia's rapprochement with Russia, therefore I am determined to set up my own party, probably, in coalition with other political forces. Presently Russia supports separatists, but everything possible should be done that it would change this approach and that the restoration of the territorial integrity of Georgia would become possible," Khaburdzania said.
