Non-profit organizations contributing to patriotic upbringing will enjoy allotments from the federal budget, says a bill submitted by the government to the State Duma on Saturday.

"The federal law creates a mechanism of state support to non-profit organizations that energetically promote patriotic upbringing of Russian citizens," says the explanatory note to the bill adjusting the Law on Non-Profit Organizations.

It says the bill will intensify patriotic upbringing efforts and raise the authority of veterans' organizations.

"Socially oriented non-profit organizations working for patriotic upbringing will enjoy subsidies provided by the Russian Economic Development Ministry," says the government material published in the State Duma databank.
