Investigative Committee to check whether the Kuzmin brothers' adoption papers were authentic
The Russian Investigative Committee will check whether the papers on the basis of which the Kuzmin brothers, Maxim and Kirill were adopted by a U.S. couple were authentic.
"Investigators are checking the legality and authenticity of the papers based on which the adoption of the boys was decided," the Investigative Committee's spokesman, Vladimir Markin, said.
The information that Russian adoptive parents have not decided against adopting the two brothers will be checked as well, Markin said.
"The information that the Americans could adopt the brothers after an alleged refusal to adopt of some Russian families is being checked," Markin said.
