Bolshoi Theater employees suspected of involvement in Filin attack - source
Some employees and members of the Bolshoi Theater troupe are suspected of involvement in the attack on Bolshoi Theater choreographer Sergei Filin, a source in the Moscow law enforcement agencies told Interfax.
The source said Filin has given all necessary evidence in this case before leaving for Germany for rehabilitation. "Evidence is now being collected," the source said.
The source said Filin could not give a detailed description of his attacker. "However, we have some evidence on this case," the source said.
Filin suffered burns to the face and eyes in an acid attack on Jan. 17. The attack is being investigated on counts of premeditated infliction of bodily injuries. Police link the attack to Filin's professional work. Filin is a renowned ballet dancer. He took his current leading post at the Bolshoi Theater in March 2011.
