Russia to continue anti-drug cooperation with U.S.
Russia will not stop anti-drug cooperation with the United States, a source in Russian law enforcement authorities told Interfax on Wednesday.
"Cooperation will go on under valid agreements with DEA and within the Presidential Commission framework," he said.
"Same as in the previous years, cooperation will center on the suppression of drug trafficking from Afghanistan," the source said.
Russia and the United States have had a number of successful operations against drug labs on the Afghan territory in the past few years, he said. Russia, in particular, provided intelligence data.
