In 2013, the ship-church’s “passengers” visited 45 villages and sailed 305 kilometers on the lake. Their working conditions are extremely harsh: cabins for four people, wake-up at 6:30 or 7 in the morning, a group prayer in the ship’s chapel, breakfast and an hour or two of dusty village roads to another village in the depths of Siberia.
11 doctors with subspecialties work on the mission’s team. They work until late at night, until the last patient, and then off to another village. 17 days without a break. The average work load per doctor is up to 60 people a day. Consultations take place in schools, community centers, hospitals, and on the street. They also make house calls. Priests also work on the team. They baptize people, lead them in prayer, and bless their homes. Altogether, the mission has helped 8 thousand people.
