«We are very excited about our relationship with Russia Now... Overtime the amount of interest our readers show in Russia Now has increased quite dramatically: 40 per cent of our readers look at it quite closely and that means that through The Daily Telegraph Russia Now reaches that important audience of influential British readers, British voters, British consumers. It also means that it gives them insight into Russia today and what is going on in that great country... I’m very pleased as a newspaper publisher to be able to say that Russia Now in terms of its look, its design, its content is constantly evolving, constantly improving. So for us as a Publisher we have found that what is a commercial relationship has proved to be profitable in all sorts of ways and we are very encouraged by the way it’s going and then what it holds up for the future». Benedict Brogan, Deputy Editor of The Daily Telegraph (UK)
«I’m very proud to be associated with Rossiyskaya Gazeta for the Russian-Indian Report. We are actually reaching our business leaders telling them about what Russia offers as a market. We believe that it’s business that drives the engine of an economy and it’s very appropriate that India and Russia which are today a part of the bricks category of markets are collaborating on this. We are very proud to say that other countries, notably Latin American countries have now been inquiring about the Russian-Indian Report. Clearly this is a very useful instrument to bring all these economies in the Indian market. India is a very favored destination for foreign direct investment, for portfolio investment as is Russia, and by doing this we are not only building business in both countries but we are actually building bilateral ties which are the basis of any long-term partnership». Fawzia Madni, General Manager of The Times Group (India)
...Kind of pleasure to work on the Russia project since its inception at The Washington Post. I was the Director of International Advertising there and I believe it’s the next generation of how countries will promote themselves. I think the future will be that this project evolves into on-line and advances to really engage with this audience, and the Web- site that was unveiled a few years ago is really of a cutting edge of how countries can really take advantage of the Internet to make their message across. Specifically what makes the Russia project successful is its all-composite nature, it’s not just about one subject – it gives you a flavor of Russia’s culture, its sports, and that allows for it to soft side of Russia to give a perspective in the United States as well. Amer Yakub, Publisher of The Foreign Policy (USA)
I would like to express our satisfaction with our cooperation so far. Russia and Serbia was very well received not only among readers of Geopolitika, but, I would say, the general public. We received many positive reactions and comments from our readers. Slobodan Eric, Editor in Chief of Geopolitika (Serbia)
«For us this could be called a historic experience. Of course, we had doubts about what it would look like. We were worried about whether this would really be journalism, not propaganda: it’s one thing to disseminate information about events, notes and various developments, to talk about what’s happening in Russia in a way that puts your government in the best light, but it’s quite another to tell our readers about those same developments and analyse them from an independent point of view. But that’s exactly what we’ve managed to do! Today the RG supplement is completely in line with what our paper does. And this happens completely naturally: we’ve built up a normal relationship. That is, readers who read the Rusia Hoy supplement in Clarin are reading news, analysis and commentary in exactly the same way, and seeing the same parameters and criteria of quality, as they would find when reading the other news in the paper». Ricardo Roa, Deputy executive editor of Clarin (Argentina)
Politicians
A brilliant idea. Caroline Wilson, Minister Counsellor (Economic and Trade Investment) of British Embassy
It is a clever way of being present in the French media field for a Russian paper. I and my people were quite surprised by the paper because we were expecting a Soviet style propaganda. Christian Pierret, Former French culture and communications minister and the current mayor of the French city Saint-Dié-des-Vosges
This project has a huge potential, the insert is of a very good quality. I would suggest to look into publishing a similar insert to one of the newspapers in Barcelona. Juan Carlos Belloso, City council development advisor
Russian officials and international organization representatives abroad
Rusia Hoy is a very important and serious instrument of informating Argentinean people about what happens in Russia. Alexandr Dogadin, Ambassador of Russian Federation to Argentina
This is a very useful product that helps boost relationship between the UK and Russia. It is also popular within an extended Russian community that lives in the UK. Arthur Matikian, Representative of Rossotrudnichestvo (ministry of Russians abroad) in the UK, Ireland and Iceland
I am glad to welcome the insert that would increase the amount of information about all changes happening in Russia, either positive or less so. All Bavarians I was in touch with had a very positive reaction to Russland Heute and noticed that the supplement gives a more objective information about Russia than the German media do. Fedor Khorokhorin, Official representative of Bavaria region in Russia, former counsellor general of Russia in Bonn
I read the supplement of Rossiskaja Gazeta to Le Figaro with a great interest. I would especially like to emphasize the right choice of articles telling about numerous Russian-French projects as well as events happening during the cross-year of Russia and France. E.V. Mitrofanova, Chairman of UNESCO, executive council and resident representative of Russia to UNESCO
Art representatives and interpreters
I liked very much the interview with the two children of Anna Politkovskaja. I like the fact the the last issues have more information about daily life in Russia, for example about the tradition to celebrate the first day at school that we lack in Italy. Annelisa Allieva, Interpreter (Italy)
The project definitely contributes to mutual understanding between the UK and Russia. There have been a lot of ups and downs in our relationship, but it also means there's a strong connection between these two countries. I am sure that the society needs information on what is the real interaction between the UK and Russia, and the project plays an important part in this respect. Charles Phy, Architect (UK)
Business community
It is a very good insert. It is interesting to read and seems a quality newspaper. Andrew Smith, PR Manager of PricewaterhouseCoopers (UK)
Interesting! Kind of reminds me of the newspaper I used to read when I was in Moscow. Vincent Schuler, Assistant director (commercial advisory services) of Ernst & Young (UK)
Scientific and expert community
This is a clearly a lively, well produced, supplement providing a useful overview of Russia today. Julian Cooper, Professor in Centre for Russian and East European Studies at University of Birmingham, Associate Fellow in Chatham House (UK)
The supplement Russia Now which appears in The Washington Post has over the course of the last few years become more interesting, more lively, it looks less like, you know, public relations exercise by the Russians, and I think that it has also become more diverse – it has always been really diverse in the topics that were addressed in its articles but it has also become more diverse in the views expressed by some of the analysts and commentators that write for Russia Now. I think it provides a valuable role, especially for those in Washington who get The Washington Post on a regular basis. Dr.Andrew C. Kuchins, Director of the Russia and Eurasia program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (USA)
Media and PR people
It's always a pleasure to read news from abroad that are well written and intelligent. I also appreciate the graphical solutions of the supplement. Valeria Aloisio, Italian journalist
The insert in general is a well-made product that makes an impression of a German newspaper. You merit the trust and you are very honest. You have published the interview a very good and up-to-date opinion about journalist Kashin that shows the real situation with journalists in Russia. Ingo Manteufel, Head of Eastern Europe\Russia section of DW- WORLD.DE/russian und DW-RADIO/Russisch
"The Russia supplement provides some valuable and in-depth insight into the country that has global importance both economically and politically. The chance to get such a wide range of news and viewpoints on Russia is valuable to anyone with an interest in the country." Rob Hartley, CIS Bureau Chief Mergermarket / dealreporter (part of FT group)

Dear Madam or Sir,
I would like to express my happiness about your initiative to publish an insert about Russia in Germany. I am sure that
it will allow to close a big gap in the info space. I support your publisher's view who said that in spite of almost 40
German special correspondents working in Russia, the German society doesn't get enough information about real and
sometimes very confusing events in Russia. Some correspondents lack the necessary knowledge of Russian culture and
history, the others are still seeing the world through the glasses of the Cold War or, more often, suffer from an eternal
German superiority complex. Very few exceptions to this rule only confirm it. Thank you, my congratulations again and
a lot of success wishes. Gert Sauer (Germany)
A lovely article on Russian Biennale in France! I have been a constant visitor to the exhibition over the last few years, and was impressed by an unexpected focus of the article that managed to show some fresh trends in the traditional format. A.H., Cultural expert (France)
I looked through the insert and was surprised in a good way: it is informative, clear, well-written and lacks the moralizing tone of the French media, which makes me so nervous. It also didn't contain information on Putin or mafia (no cliches!) Bravo, in one word! Please, go on! Jean-Robert Ravio, Professor (France)
I am a very curious person and your supplement will definitely allow me to satisfy my curiosity. Thank you for this opportunity. Ave Menotti (Italy)
I am glad to have discovered this newspaper. I like Russia, it intrigues me and I'd love to go there, so I'll start preparing my trip to Russia. I'd also like to see more articles on cultural aspects of Russia. Leonora (Italy)
The insert Russia and Bulgaria published with the Duma newspaper helps better navigate through different aspects of modern Russian life and understand the policy conducted by Russian authorities in the world. It will be interesting to learn more about bilateral relations between our two countries, as well as about the life of common Russians. T.T. (Bulgaria)
