Bolshoi values its brand at $63 million

Bolshoi Theater lawyers, suing over the “illegal use” of the theater’s brand name, have put its value at close to 2 billion rubles.

The theater posted on its website that the brand has been evaluated at 1.9 billion roubles ($63 million).

Bolshoi lawyer Vladimir Entin told RBC Daily that the theater has filed several lawsuits with the arbitration court.

Three years ago, the Bolshoi brand was granted the status of a universally known trademark by Russia’s patent agency.
