Lara McCoy is a journalist and Russian historian who lived and worked in Moscow for five years before being relocated to Washington, DC in July 2008. She has served as an editor for Russia Profile, The Moscow Times, Russia Beyond the Headlines and Russia Today. An Episcopalian who studies Orthodoxy, amateur triathlete and parent of two children who are culturally Russian, she writes about the challenges of coming home to a place that seems altogether unfamiliar.
