Clowns in the Desert

Award-winning writer Kim Palchikoff fell in love with the Moscow Circus when it came to her small American town in 1990. After following them back to Moscow, she spent a decade working for the American media during the day and watching circus shows at night. Now she resides in Las Vegas, where she still writes about the circus. She also directs the Russia-Nevada Circus Project, an oral history project funded by Nevada Humanities that documents Russian circus performers in Nevada.
