The scientific research vessel Akademik Tryoshnikov has been transferred to Roshydromet. The ship will allow Russia to resume exploration of the Pacific sector of the Antarctic, something last pursued in the late 1980s.  Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev attended the ceremony.
