Russia's Defense Ministry claims that Russia can neutralize U.S. global missile defense
The state armaments program for the period until 2020 will help neutralize threats created by the U.S. global missile defense network, Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov said in an interview published by the Monday issue of the Itogi journal.
"We are closely monitoring the work of our colleagues and understand its vector. Our armaments program solves many tasks, among them the U.S. missile defense problem," he said.
When asked whether Russia had military tools for cooling down any possible aggressor, Serdyukov said that Russia had them. "I would rather not go into details but I can assure you that, in addition to our nuclear deterrent, which is in a very good shape, there are significant high-precision arms projects and some others. We feel confident," he added.
