Moscow discourages NATO, Mideast countries from looking for pretext to use force against Syria

Russia is calling on NATO and Middle East countries not to look for pretexts for military intervention in Syria.
"In our contacts with our partners both in NATO and in the region, including on international forums, we are calling on them not to look for pretexts to carry out a force scenario or ideas like humanitarian corridors or buffer zones," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov told Interfax when asked whether Moscow has concerns that some provocation could be committed at the Turkish-Syrian border, after which NATO would have to intervene in the conflict to defend Turkey as its member.
