Russia content with New Start treaty implementation
17:19 September 7, 2012
The New Start treaty signed by Russia and the United States is being implemented well on the whole, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
"I can confirm that our opinion is positive on the whole. There are questions, but they are not intended for public discussions," he said at a nonproliferation conference in Moscow. Such issues are normally discussed by the commission for compliance, he also said.
"The bilateral consultative commission will next meet in Geneva before the end of September," Ryabkov said.
