The Aerospace Defense Troops are involved in guaranteeing security of the APEC 2012 summit in Vladivostok, Aerospace Defense Troops Commander Col. Gen. Alexander Ostapenko said.

"I can say just one thing about this: air defense means safely ensure security of the APEC summit. Our air defense means stationed in the Far East are engaged there," Ostapenko said.

Asked whether there are S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft weapon system, he said: "I have already said that all means are involved in securing the summit."

Earlier Russian Chief of General Staff Army Gen. Nikolai Makarov said that Armed Forces 'cover' 170 facilities as part of the APEC summit.
